      Successfully shooting from the water requires some basic elements: the correct gyro-stabilised camera system, a dampening component to protect this system in heavy seas and high speeds, a boat driver and a camera operator who understand their equipment, the sport which is being filmed and each other, and the correct vessel to go to sea with.<\/p>\n

      Amis Productions has the experience and the tools to provide all these crucial components in-house. We have a range of gimbals and dampeners and years of experience rigging them to hundreds of different vessels for an unrivalled client list including the America\u2019s Cup, the Volvo Ocean Race, The Olympic Games, SailGP, Rolex, ISAF\/World Sailing and many commercial and private clients.<\/p>\n

      The boat CAMBRIA is our in-house camera ship. She was purpose-built, in consultation with Amis Productions, for the 34th America\u2019s Cup World Series, Louis Vuitton Challenge and the Cup itself in San Francisco, and went on to film the 35th America\u2019s Cup round finishing with the Cup in Bermuda. CAMBRIA was built with only one purpose in mind, to film inshore yacht racing at high speed.<\/p>\n

      All critical elements were considered - low wake, wave piercing hulls to prevent slamming, high manoeuvrability, exceptional visibility for driver and camera operator, dampened seat and operation table for camera operator, 12 and 24V inboard voltages with generator redundancy, integrated camera mount and dampener, exceptional turret field of view and critically the ability to be quickly dismantled into two 40\u201d sea containers for easy transport and reassembly in any location. CAMBRIA has been successfully moved 23 times to different race tracks across the globe to date and counting.<\/p>\n
